“Honey” Emma Lou Brem Meadows, longtime resident of Boxona, Texas, age 95, passed away Friday March 29, 2019, at Focused Care in Clarksville ,Texas. Honey was an active member of Woodmen of the World, American Legion Auxiliary, Eastern Stars, and a previous mayor, city secretary, city manager of Watauga, Texas. Honey was Miss Boxelder in 1940. Honey was born at Shawnee Prairie on November 24, 1923, to Elmer and Lydia Brem. She was preceded in death by her parents: Elmer and Lydia Brem, husband; Noel Meadows; son, Huey Meadows and great grandson, Ryan Paul Puckett. Honey married Noel Meadows in 1942.
Survivors include her 2 daughters Anita Puckett and husband Neil, and Andrea Adams; her brother, Bobby Brem and wife, Nancy; her sister, Shirl Rogers and husband, Tom; her grandchildren; Sasha Jones and husband Donnie, Sammy Puckett and wife, Alicia, Laura Gordon, Doug Barrientos, Paul Puckett and wife Melissa, Jackie Lewis and husband Tim, Lydia Kahler and husband Jason, Lana Calloway and husband Billy, Phillip Meadows, Donna Meadows, Rebecca Bennett and husband Don, Michael Zacharias and wife, Holly, Jennifer Meadows;
her great grandchildren; Colton Puckett, Lisanne Fleming, Taylor and Noah Gordon, Dalarin Puckett, Alana Puckett, Merideth, Madison, Morgan, (late) Ryan Puckett, Tony and Chelsey McCord, Ryanne Lewis, Haley,Chase, and Landon Kahler, Emma Lou Meadows, Jasmine Leitner, Brandon Meadows, Amber and Breanna Bennett and 15 Great Great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Clarksville Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00p.m.
Funeral services are set for 4:00p.m. Sunday, March 31, 2019, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Don “Dink” Benton officiating. Burial will follow in Lydia Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
