Kammy James Obituary

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Kammy Aaron James (Crockett) who began her eternal rest with the Lord on February 10, 2026 at the age of 45.

Kammy was born in New Boston, TX on February 4, 1981 to Tammy and Keith Crockett. She attended schools in Malta, Forestburg, and Naples-Omaha, TX where she graduated from Paul Pewitt High School in 1999.

She met the love of her life, Dennis (Denny) James, in 2001, and they married in 2008. Above all, she cherished her role as a mother. She poured her heart into raising her three wonderful children - guiding them with wisdom, patience, unwavering encouragement, and unconditional love. She taught her children to have faith, act with kindness, and live life with warmth and laughter.

She was known by everyone she encountered as an unbelievably caring, loving, compassionate, kindhearted, and selfless person. She could strike up a conversation with anyone and brought light into every room she entered. Being around Kammy could brighten anyone’s day, and she always knew how to make life more fun and lively. She had a truly special ability to make people feel loved and cared for and would go out of her way to help people at every opportunity. She was a devoted Christian who read her Bible daily and truly embodied the teachings of Jesus.

Kammy treasured the world’s natural beauty and found inspiration and joy in beautiful scenery, animals, and all of God’s handiwork. Her husband Denny’s job led her and her family on many adventures all around the country which gave them so many cherished memories together. A perfect day for Kammy would be to sit in a beautiful meadow surrounded by flowers and butterflies, playing with her children. She took such pleasure in the simple, beautiful parts of life and never took a moment for granted.

Kammy is survived by her beloved children, John Peter James (18), Leah Ruth James (14), and Rachel Lee James (2); her husband, Dennis Lee James Jr.; her mother, Tammy Carter; her sisters, Tonia Moseley (Buck Moseley), Sabrina Lassetter, Holly Blackmore (Joe Blackmore), and Leeza Crockett; her nieces and nephews, Michael Moseley, Randi Moseley, Alaska Arledge, Alexander Allen, Lexi Allen, Alice Allen, Emma Buck, Elizabeth Lassetter, Ayden Lewis, and Finleigh Blackmore; her grandfather, Bobby Taylor; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Keith Crockett, and her grandparents, Wanda and A.A. Crockett and Tempie and James Johnson.

Funeral Services will be at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, February 15, 2026, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Jayce Johnson and George Robison officiating. Burial will follow in Brewster Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Visitation will be an hour before the service.

Pallbearers are Buck Moseley, Michael Moseley, Randi Moseley, Joe Blackmore, Ayden Lewis, Joshua Pryor

Though the loss of such a beautiful person weighs heavily on our hearts, we take comfort in knowing that she now rests in heaven, and we will one day see her again. Her legacy of faith and love will continue to live on in her children and all who knew her.

John 16:22: Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.
